Stonehouse Creek Nursery
Don Hyatt established Stonehouse Creek Nursery in 1978, seven years after purchasing
the 78 acre farm pictured to the right
in the foot hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The property fronts on both
the north and south forks of Stonehouse Creek in Amherst County, VA.
The nursery is not currently open to the public but through plant society sales and garden clubs, Don sells
rhododendrons as well as evergreen and deciduous azaleas. In addition to plants, he
also sells his botanical watercolor prints and designs artistic landscape plans for the shady
garden. You may view Don's watercolors in the
Gallery and see Don's landscaping ideas in the
Garden sections of this site.
